Thanks for posting. Although this is about ENS names it's part of a bigger discussion about property rights. I'm not sure about some of the proposals as they all reduce property rights via new forms of taxation imo. I get that ENS name squatters suck, and this is annoying and seems unfair, but suddenly having to pay extra for something that was previously rightfully yours seems wrong. There is of course much nuance to this, but I'm not a fan of the sudden changing of property rights.

Agree with Druss, imo this would really punish early adopters, it would hurt small companies and artists, competitors will exploit the opportunity. While rich people will be able to pay the fees to keep their w3 identity, a normal guy on the other side will never have a unique name, because he will consistently get priced out by wealthy people. He basically try to solve an issue, but create the same issue, just differently.
