I like the positive effects of a new and more efficient way of demonstrating experience/competence away from the usual 'X' document from 'X' institution. I also like that we can add another social layer via proof of attendance at social events, which might encourage more positive social activities/groups and facilitate group cohesion. Yes some people will try to flex with this, which by itself isn't a bad thing if done for the right reasons, but it might get polluted by bad intentions, hubris and financial rewards.
I much prefer this decentralisation of logging achievements because legacy systems are obviously invested in promulgating the thought that their certificates are the only way to determine experience/qualifications, which is clearly not the case in alot of respects.
Obviously we have to be careful how far this goes as there is a spectrum of social credit systems. One end is the authoritarian/centralised creditation system (think China) and the other end is highly decentralised with lots of fluidity/opportunity/recourse which I kind of see crypto representing if done correctly.
