This is actually very interesting. The amount of adults above 50 must be pretty low.

As a teen who's going to trade crypto the second he turns 18, these stats make sense- although my friends don't know much about crypto or investing in general, I'll probably convince them to allocate a small portion of their portfolio into crypto. As for the gender statistics, among my age group, girls do seem to be more risk adverse, and while they're more likely to take responsibility for things like academics and jobs, they don't seem to be interested in these things. Not that I've met anyway.

[@MrP](/user/profile/MrP) [@Druss](/user/profile/Druss) This isn't surprising. Investing in stocks is also male-dominated. Women tend to be more risk-averse. Most women I know want to understand something completely before they invest and they want it to be as safe as possible. Want more women (and men) in crypto? Push for more financial education in schools. I am the only woman I know who invests in crypto and I intend to teach my kids all about investing in crypto (and other types of investment). From there they can make their own decisions. I think the lack of financial education in school is appalling. They shouldn't be learning about it only on TikTok (no offense to social media, I just think that it should be a supplement to a solid education they get in school).

I wholeheartedly agree financial education in schools needs a push. It is however, or at least used to be, very hard to get young people to want to learn that kind of information. We are seeing the rapid gamification of finance now which might help traverse this.

The risks are very real, as access to financial products becomes increasingly democratized through platforms like trading apps for stocks and crypto
