I found a thing which is also kind of ugly for the feed and also irritating to the users. It is that even after several people with high rep downvotes a spam post, it stays in the feed for quite a lot of time. I dont know if its a major drawback or not but it surely ruins the clean and tidiness of the feed.

It has it's pro and cons. Like you say it can make the feed look a bit messy, but it also allows community members to see what content is not acceptable.
