Battles in the money market aren’t about incremental technology features, but fundamental monetary properties. Bitcoin is a pragmatic monetary evolution, which contrasts with shitcoin issuers misrepresenting a delusional technology revolution.

I’d say this is an over-simplification with a bit of bitcoin-maximalist propaganda. There are many crypto currencies besides bitcoin that are not centralized. If you follow the logic of the article Ethereum is a shitcoin also... Furthermore, I’d say that deflationary money doesn’t replace or serve the same needs as inflationary currencies.

When it comes to the properties of money being a store of value, a means of exchange and a unit of account Bitcoin indeed has huge advantages over any alternatives. What I don't agree with is the categorization of all crypto assets as 'money'. Digital, programmatic scarcity is a tool humanity will use to create and issue digital items of various kinds, not just currencies. Art, collectibles, business documents (invoices), debt, access keys (NFTs) and much more. Labeling these items as 'shitcoins' misses the point.
