Isnt there a problem with the block chain growing too big eventually? If we add more things to it even more frequently, wouldnt that make it reach that limit earlier?

To onboard that many users will take a long long time. Computer storage, processing and network bandwidth increases every year. The Bitcoin Cash blockchain can handle many times the current load. It took BTC eight years to fill up 1 MB of blocks and perhaps BCH will need as long a time to fill up its 32 MB blocks. BTC is still limited to the computer performance of 2009 though which is why it's not usable for that many people.
