Other than maybe ‘The Fifth Risk,’ by Michael Lewis, a good number of these he should have read decades ago. This would have been a good “leadership” list for 20 years ago. Today: existential risk, metamodernism, truth decay, transnational institutions, AI, bullshit jobs, capitalist critique, metaliteracy, decentralization, and alternative democratic forms are far more relevant. The authors are suggesting a list for polysci minors, not the ‘leader of the free world.’
