Looks like the UK is a out to undergo a massive publicity blitz against end-to-end encryption. This campaign spearheaded by a spin-off of saatchi saatchi will prey on people's fears of paedophiles with a range of different publicity stunts. Obviously child abuse is a terrible thing that should be stamped out, but ending encrypted messaging is unlikely to have any meaningful effect on this. This feels more to me about government wanting backdoors into everyones messages.
