The UKs National Health Service is supposed to be the envy of the world with free care at the point of contact. Unfortunately it's now on its knees. It wasn't long ago that A&E departments had a 4 hour time frame to see and deal with patients, but that has now gone out of the window. Waiting lists for routine operations are now at a record high too. The most worrying thing is we're not even into the traditionally busy part of the year over the winter months. It's looking more and more likely that Private services will become more prominent in the UKs health system as this continues.

This happens every year. Check the statistics. You can check back 30 yrs when we had 50% more beds and it still happened.
