Whoever sits in power, the US government is a truly terrifying entity. This article describes one of the many tools used to circumvent the law in order to apply surveillance and forms of control on political dissent. I knew lots of friends in college who used to get searched and interrogated by the FBI when coming in the country back in the day because they were leftists.
