An Important article. Please take tme to read. >In terms of his Lawyer- "Derek Chauvin's brain is littered with "what ifs". What if I just not agreed to go into work that day? What if things had gone differently? What if I never responded to that call?" Just take it on yourself. What if you didn't keep your knee on the man's neck for 9 minutes? That's the part that got me. Like it was all out of his control. The universe planned to put him in front of a black man. What was he supposed to do by that point? NOT murder him? Yes, definitely it is. Even Its makes me wonder how many other people were murdered by police that nobody knows about.

I remember when this first happened, for some reason certain hard right wing people I know felt the need to point out Floyd's past criminal deeds and record as if it were some kind of justification or reckoning for his death. I'm almost positive it was from some Facebook post that they had read. For fucks sake, he was murdered in broad daylight in front of a crowd by a law enforcement officer and it was caught on camera. If we start being okay with people being murdered in the streets without trial, where does that leave us? Fuck anyone who says this cop was using an appropriate level of force or defends his actions in any way.
