What do you think, why convicted ? The only reason Chauvin was convicted because Floyd was black? Do you think If Floyd was white this would have been swept under the rug and never talked about and Chauvin would receive no backlash or consequence whatsoever.

My heart goes out to all the bystanders and I am grateful for the recording by Darnella Frazier and other witnesses. We now know that they were an important part of helping to bring this case to a verdict that will send Derek Chauvin to jail. One can only hope that the outcome of this trial will be a step towards police reform and start the process of better relationships between police and the communities they serve. I also want to thank all the commenters on these issues we all face. It is interesting reading each other’s comments, and we can agree to disagree. But we all know that we are all a part of these policing issues, and that they affect us all. No one is above the law!
