The article rightly discusses the severe problems people have trying to live on the minimum wage, but I had to downvote it because of medical inaccuracies about needing a sugary snack to save her life because she can't afford her insulin as this makes no sense. If someone is missing their insulin then the last thing they should be doing is eating sugary snacks which could result in glucose levels spiralling out of control and subsequent diabetic ketoacidosis. If she had too much insulin and was hypoglycemic then having a sugary snack would make sense, but it doesn't appear this way in the article.
