He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches. Men have always been thought to be security givers in many societies of which Mexico is not an exclusion. However, Mexico women realizing they need to rise up for themselves is a big challenge to the rest of the world. The world is simply taking a new outlook and gender must no longer be a barrier. If you ask me, I give it to them. The women of valour. Many of the women vigilantes in the hamlet of El Terrero have lost sons, brothers or fathers in the fighting. Eufresina Blanco Nava said her son Freddy Barrios, a 29-year old lime picker, was kidnapped by presumed Jalisco cartel gunmen in pickup trucks; she has never heard from him since. Isn't that enough reason to put up a fight? They can do better!
