Research shows that public trust has been in decline for some time - a problem referred to as “truth decay.” Many Americans now question the science behind vaccines and are skeptical of economic and crime statistics. As conspiracy theories such as QAnon are increasingly being accepted as truth, the Biden administration must now begin rebuilding trust in government and public institutions.
