So, he basically admitted to being angry and concerned that a private citizen utilized their constitutional right to protect themselves and was found to not be in violation of the law while doing so.

there's nothing tough about doing what everyone tells you to do. Doing what you think is right in the face of criticism sounds pretty tough.
