From 1-11. October 2020, Warsaw based Unsound festival will focus on a broad swath of contemporary music — emerging, experimental, and leftfield — whose sweep doesn’t follow typical genre constraints. Influential around the world, it has developed a reputation for identifying innovative scenes and radical sounds. Created around the theme “Intermission“meaning a break in a performance or production, here it also refers to the rupture caused by COVID-19, a period starkly separating before from after. Unsound 2020 takes place entirely online, with an ambitious program that has artists like Laraaji, GAIKA, Lucrecia Dalt, Nicolás Jaar, and Gabber Modus Operandi taking part as either performers curators or workshop leaders
