[@slava](/user/profile/slava) , my regards! I got the idea that the creators of posts (those who post the link) can get an additional bonus (more precisely, it will turn out to be a bonus if the post gets enough rating). Now I will explain what I mean. I've noticed that there are some people who are only interested in betting. They continually refresh their browser page, hoping to be the first to bid on a new post (and unfortunately they do it). These guys do not read posts or leave comments, they are only trying to be the first to bet. These actions bring the platform a little more than zero benefit, although it seems to me that it can reduce the desire of authors to post links. What do I suggest. Allow post authors to be the first to bid on their post. For example, so that within a minute after publication, only the author could place a bet on his post. (the author may not place a bet, it is his choice, but such a choice should be possible) As a person who has been actively posting links on our platform for several months and spends a lot of time looking for them, I would like to have this opportunity. Be the first to bet on my post without haste, calmly choose the number of coins that I want to bet and do not worry that bad actors will get ahead of me. Thank you for attention.

Really it make sense, because I was that kind of person too. I really appreciate your idea....

I find this to be a good suggestion. I agree that a 1 min or 2 min pause would probably be a good addition to disincentivize bots and incentivize those finding good, relevant, content.

Lets say 2min pause, 5 users saw that post in first minute and they are waiting. Another 10 users saw that post in two minutes and so total 15 users will try to place their bet coins at the same time immediately after pause was resumed. May traffic or some error occur? Or something unnecessary bugs can happen? How about adding option for author: he can place his coin before he finalize publishing his article. So there is no doubt he will get first place.

That makes sense, that is something we may consider doing. It could also even be a longer time period - like 15m to allow time for people to actually read the post before betting.

How about adding option for author: enable bet or vote before he finalize publishing his post? [@Slava](/user/profile/Slava)

A delay is an interesting idea. What advantages could someone have then? Does everyone still have a fair chance of being 1st to vote? I'm not sure about allowing people to vote on their own post. I guess people could do this anyway with a second (or more) account. Posts are part of the curation of feeds and along with other aspects of curation people get rewarded in REP for these actions, so posters kinda already get rewarded for good content. Rewarding posts with additional REL would change this dynamic. I'm not against it per se, it just seems a significant decision.

As is of now you can already bet on your own posts... some admins do this some don’t. We considered not letting people do this but it’s too easy to get around. Also if you have rep and you upvote your own post that sort of make sense because other users are doing less work / taking less risk in betting on your post.

Doh! I must of missed that. Well the communities are improving all the time so doesn't seem to have had a negative impact. Kind makes sense to share the risk in this way I guess.

I don't know how far it'll take. Definitely it’s not a bad idea. But won't it make people post more & more! & the communities with full of garbage links if they notice about the profit of posting articles (not about relevancy) .

The profit of posting articles carries Relevance along, because if a post does not reach the threshold that qualifies for payment (the 50th percentile I think), it still will not payout irrespective of who cast the first vote or bet.
