Betting Mode “Betting Mode” allows you to decide exactly how many coins you want to bet on each post. The higher the bet, the higher the potential payouts. Betting Mode can be enabled via Wallet or User Settings. When enabled, you will see a Betting Modal every time you upvote a post. Why betting? Bets don’t impact content rankings but provide a way to reward users for their expertise. The Relevant Betting System allows us to leverage the wisdom of the crowd to predict which content will be Relevant to a given community (similar to a prediction market). Relevant Betting is independent from the Relevant Reputation System. As a result, money has no impact on the final ranking of content. In the future, posts with the highest bets will appear in a “Predictions” feed, enabling users without Reputation to signal what they think will be Relevant within community networks. Can I lose money on bets? Relevant Betting is zero stakes. All coins bet on posts are always returned to users at the end of the betting period, regardless of whether or not they receive an additional payout.
