I'm not a fan of this as it will make life harder for people and it requires even more surveillance for tax reasons. Obviously only the super rich for now, but it wouldn't be surprising if they kept lowering the cut off. Who also has time to monitor all their unrealised gains all the time? Feels like another attempt at government overreach rather than a workable tax policy to me.
