"In the discussion of women as liminal-space actors, the evidence of “species being” creation becomes apparent through examples of women acting from these marginalized spaces to create social capital, protect communities, foster ecological restoration efforts, and develop knowledge outside of capitalism’s sphere of influence. While these examples may not fully exemplify Marx’s definition of a communist society, they do exist as ways to interact in a capitalist patriarchal society, which focuses solely on what is produced and what that production costs."
