Big Oil continues to spend many millions of dollars to influence, delay or block climate policies that harm profits. The Biden administration must now balance ambitious climate targets with U.S economic interests and corrupt lobbying overseas.

In my viewpoints, The fossil fuel industry would be wise to become part of the solution instead of part of the problem. Use their money to become the leaders and experts in clean energy, thus never skipping a beat. They would even get aid from Biden to convert instead of paying to fight him.

Big oil firms have nothing to offer the climate movement but misinformation & greenwashing. The largest five stock market listed oil and gas companies spend nearly $200m (£153m) a year lobbying to delay, control or block policies to tackle climate change. On the other hand investment in renewables and climate research only makes up less than 1% of Big Oil spending.

The big oil is actively lobbying for policies that ensure the world burns and humanity is heading for climate breakdown induced genocide. This is utterly criminal, and these corporations should get dismantled, their owners and bosses procecuted.

Excellent read connecting the dots to our environmental psychopaths dejour destroying our planet. Arguments trying to justify a vison blinded with greed never acknowledging the authors case of over a trillion dollars wasted in a few short years on an industry heading the way of the dinosaurs is beyond reason. Fossil fuel executives make nothing of a mockery of vison no less critical thought to such an extent only an educated public can end its reign of terror campaign. This is a great piece connecting the dots hats off to the author. Thank you Mr-snuggles smile

The best thing to beat climate change is reforestation. It cuts net emissions & reduces the climate effect of the built environment. If u include the silica mining, solar panels will never generate as much energy as is needed to make & distribute them & have many side effects.

Yes. Big Oil spent 10s of millions to stop state-level Carbon Pricing, pointing us to the single most effective action to reduce use of fossil fuels in our energy economy. Support the federal Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act to jumpstart green jobs.
