Initially he was against it in the 90’s when DOMA was passed, but it’s great he changed his views. Backing Obama in a corner like this led to the reversal of DOMA and protecting gay marriage at a federal level. Also, Biden has just not only focused on appointing the LGBTQ but also most qualified people, which has unsurprisingly led to a more diverse federal bench.
