Rather than share in empathy and in building bridges to the LGBTQ2+ communities, I can see that some people are choosing to misinform. To misinform either through a conscious decision to do so or possibly they may not know any better due to upbringing. It is an effortless task to hate and to cause to hate. All of us must raise our voices (and our visibility) to echo the facts and experiences these witnesses brought to this hearing. Thank you to everyone who participated for the purpose of bringing this issue into the spotlight today. As to the deflectors, well, some may yet be teachable. I am so grateful for the courageous advocacy of Kelly Robinson, Dr. Pocock, and Mr. Wolf. Let's center this issue again in the new congress!
