There's a lot of anti-china rhetoric around now which can be expected as the world looks inwards, and this is a nice example at a very personal level.
Everything said in here about China is applicable to any nation state when such sensitive, highly valued and indeed possibly dangerous information like this is shared; although there are obvious heightened concerns with China. The genie is out of the bottle imo. with this and it won't be long until most of the world has their genetics stored on a database somewhere; whether they want it or not. Hopefully it's used for good and not to oppress or weaponise.
