Actually it seems to summarize the problems with Johnson’s negotiation approach fairly well. What does it get wrong? I think the key problem with leaders like Boris is that negotiations on detailed matters can blow up and have to restart at any point. That’s a terrible way to do anything detailed, and you can expect all parties to come out the worse for it - but especially the leader backtracking on their word and the work of their negotiating teams.
