Sorry, Biden. But I disagree with you. There are better ways to help the economy right now. Even Obama disagrees with the strategy — I recent saw an old video clip from “Good Luck America,” where Obama said, “now that’s what I’d call a gimmick,” in reference to suspending the gas tax for 60 days to save -$28/person. If I do the math with my own car, I’d be saving ~$30 between now and the end of September — definitely not enough for me to feel any bit of financial relief.
