Same-sex marriage should never be a subject to a referendum just like no other human rights issues should be. Our legislators should have the courage to afford LGTBQI+ partners the same protections and rights as to everybody else. In every country, people hold different views and judging a country by voices of a small vocal group of intolerant voices is not reasonable. I’m not sure what reputable opinion studies say about this but my guess is that a majority is indifferent or approving of gay marriage (or as the tolerant society calls it - marriage). One way or another love is love!
