How crazy is people buying cards for a vaccine that is free, harmless, and protects you and others during a pandemic. I remember 15 years ago it was such a good feeling knowing that when everybody had access to unlimited information via the internet we could have a well informed population and society would be so much better when people stopped believing things that were completely insane. Turns out information doesn't matter in the slightest for a massive percentage of the population, people want to believe what fits their ideology or what makes them feel good. One side of the political spectrum is much worse for this but it actually is a "bot sides" thing too unfortunately.

Stupidity goes into business. “A California bar owner has been arrested for allegedly selling fake COVID-19 vaccination cards in what's believed to be the first thwarted scheme of its kind.”

Seriously, People counterfeiting and buying these fake vaccine cards reminds me of a story my mom told me of her little brother. When they were kids, he hated bathing and showers with a passion. Their mom would tell him to wash up and he’d go in the bathroom, undress, run the shower so she could hear it and the room would get all steamy, he’d pour some shampoo down the drain, and wet his hair, and he’d come out wrapped in a towel after about 15 minutes. Basically making way more work for himself to avoid doing the thing he should have done in the first place. Sound familiar?
