It must be nice to have a direct line to the UKs chancellor when your company needs a bail out. Is this a fine example of cronyism or just an accepted way the world of lobbying works? "...the opposition Labour Party’s shadow chancellor, Anneliese Dodds, said. “They suggest that Greensill Capital got accelerated treatment and access to officials, and that the chancellor ‘pushed’ officials to consider Greensill’s requests.”"

For those of us across the pond, how big is this really? Asking because the last 5 years have effectively wrecked my sense of proportion when it comes to scandal, corruption, incompetence, and depraved indifference.

Tbh it's not really in the general publics conscious with prince Phillip passing away and that event dominanting the headlines imo. Most of the suspicion has focused on ex PM David Cameron and his lobbying efforts for Greensill. Lol, yes I know what you mean! Maybe people are just numb and apathetic to this sort of thing now.

The problem is that some top officials skip processes at will and still claim there is equality and equity. We only lack democracy majorly both politically and economically. I think whoever you are, it is important processes are appropriately followed.
