From where I grew up in Littleton, Colorado, it’s less than an hour’s drive to nine different mass shooting sites. (The closest one is literally 30 seconds away.) All I can say is that America has an insatiable appetite for guns and apparently these gut-wrenching tragedies are just an unfortunate - but societally acceptable - side effect.

Not sure where you’re from but here in America we have this thing called a constitution that provides its citizens the right to bear arms. And we also have laws against crimes like shooting up a grocery store filled with innocent people. Of course criminals don’t care about our laws, so even if guns were outlawed, they would still find a way to carry out their crimes. In fact, shootings with stolen or unlicensed guns occur daily in most major cities in the US, you just don’t read about it in the news because it doesn’t fit the media’s narrative (e.g. most of these killings are carried out by Black & Brown people).
