Q not-so-anonymous "Using special emergency powers and other measures, the FBI has collected reams of private cellphone data and communications that go beyond the videos that rioters shared widely on social media..." The cellphone data includes many records from the members of Congress and staff members who were at the Capitol that day to certify President Joe Biden’s election victory. The FBI is “searching cell towers and phones pinging off cell sites in the area to determine visitors to the Capitol”... "The data is also being used to map links between suspects, which include members of Congress..."

Why should members of Congress be protected from investigation? There were members at the Rally on the Ellipse & there were those who promised to disrupt the certification of the Electoral votes. And even after the Insurrection, senators and congressional reps still objected. And this doesn’t seem that difficult to deal with. The FBI for the most part should know who breached the Capitol or engaged in criminal acts. If members of Congress communicated with those individuals, it will merit further investigation. If they didn’t, their data will be purged.

The collection effort has been met with little resistance from telecom providers asked to turn over voluminous data on the activity that day. “No one wants to be on the wrong side of the insurrection,” a source involved in the collection effort said.

As part of its investigation, the fbi gathered records of all cell phones that connected to area cell sites. this sweeps up innocent people who may not have even been there but their phone connected to a cell site.

THIS will get interesting -- During Trump's insurrection FBI used its emergency powers to grab up phone records of not just rioters, but Senators/Representatives/staff report.

''Just to cover up how they know what they already know from spying''. You mean they ''spied'' on an Idiot who yelled: ‘'Russia, if you’re listening, find Hillary's emails''? And... okay - the Idiot said it was - ''a joke'' -  BUT if you make such jokes - Mordo - don't you think - Mordo - that there might be some Idiots out there - who take it... seriously?

''Remember, they have an obligation to preserve and disclose all the exculpatory evidence this seizure produces''. - or in other words: ''we live in a world where the STUPID proudly record their own confessions - and then... complain that their ''selfies'' are taken as evidence? Or as our Resident Racist Right-Wing ComedianMordoTrumper used to say: ''Link or it didn't happen''. So the FBI just ''linked it'' - Right?
