I was just thinking about how insanely relevant to this is Lorem’s conception of AIs as utter aliens, non-humans with monstrous qualities. I think it could be a really helpful approach we could imbed deeply into how we relate and develop these entities outside of an anthropocentric structuring. If we were to see what we are developing as a new species with their own ineffable existence and ‘subconscious’ we might be more empowered to look beyond the more rudimentary techno-capitalist, and fairly exploitative use cases of our creation of mostly inorganic matter. I wonder if any of you could point us towards applications and conceptual frameworks running in this vein? [https://youtu.be/Xtg1NY4IQ1Q](https://youtu.be/Xtg1NY4IQ1Q)

A thought-provoking essay on ecology. governance, climate interventions and monsters by Chiara di Leone and Luiza Crosman. “In times of accelerated anthropogenic climate change, the responses to avoid catastrophe need to be as artificial as the forces that enabled it. The beasts needed for this task look less like variations of human bodies and more like a polyphony of geoengineering practices, a surgery of sorts, but for the planet. They are made of anthropogenic monstrous infrastructure, which demands constant care and monitoring.”
