Sounds like a good feature on the surface. They will be using a combination of algorithms and a curation team to determine if a tweet represents a trend. Adding context to trends is useful but some of the more cynical of us might say this new system could be open to gaming and possibly result in suppression/promotion of certain tweets within a trend. Twitter has been working on it for quite some time and it even accidentally told the iOS users about the feature in its latest update.

In comparison to other social site i believe in twitter in terms of reliability. And this feature probably needs to be done earlier. Anyway I'm still happy and so do you guys 😉.
