This study leaves out any mention of the actual metrics Facebook uses to sort/promote information. Unfortunately removing likes doesn’t change the fact that Facebook’s business is built on engagement. Even if we “like” less we will still be fed personalized feeds with the information Facebook thinks we will interact with the most, which is part of the reason we see so much clickbait and outrage online.
