Really into this call for journalists to include more solution-based narratives in tech reporting but also [#Zucksucks](/relevant/new/Zucksucks) “We need a public not only skeptical of Big Tech, but capable of navigating policy debates and ready to conceive of a technological world different from the one we live in.”

It's hard to believe that as we approach 2020 solution based narratives are not more common. I feel this is so because reporters/news agencies as a whole know that people are still more interested in headlines and rhetoric than solutions. This may in part be due to feelings of disempowerment which results in apathy because of the lack of more simpler processes of collaboration, and better ways being able to influence policy. We as a species need to push past our current governance and reporting systems to become more agile and impactful in what we do. Thankfully I see the green shoots of such progress in the "decentralised" world and hope it reaches escape velocity soon.
