I experience this article as one example of how far behind mainstream media and health and wellness practitioners are from the long-standing wisdom traditions. As a result, much of society’s basic knowledge is lacking too, since most people don’t
look further than the mainstream media for knowledge.
Keeping us in the dark about basic human wellness principles works well for the food and pharmaceutical industries. This persists at the expense of humanity’s collective health and wellness.
For example, Ayurveda has known this for 1,000’s of years -
“Dr. Ramsey argues that a poor diet is a major factor contributing to the epidemic of depression, which is the top driver of disability for Americans aged 15 to 44, according to a report by the World Health Organization.”
Unfortunately today, rather than listening to our bodies and minds, most of society needs big, expensive studies and clinical results to convince us of the benefits eating well provides.
