A programmer from Mozilla writes this article, "Open source doesn't make money bacause it's not designed to", but he mentiond 6 different ways to create profit. Also, there are projects like gitcoin and issuehunt that are trying to reward people who contribute to OSS☺

Seems like a very close-minded view... Blockchains are showing how open source systems can be self-sustained using new types of token models that communities can organize around. Seems like the next 10 years are going to see open source flourishing, rather than struggling to sustain itself like it has for the last few decades.
