Relevant is still in beta phase. There are lots of things that need working out before we exit that. Some of these are technical issues such as smart contracts and on chain REP. Others are community based which are mostly around solidifying trust within the communities. I think we are getting there with this with people reaching out recently and trying to get more involved, but as I've said, it's tricky because some people might take that REP and use it against the best interests of the community.
Relevant communities are built around trust and that does take time to build; especially when building communities in the digital relm. The tools Relevant provide do really help with this obviously. I definitely agree we need more higher REP users which we are working on as we give out REP. I've only had one person reach out showing an interest to be an admin btw so whilst the current admins have a duty to find new ones, the community needs to provide/highlight them.
Could we handle a sudden influx of 1000000 users right now? Are there enough active users to steer them and help them adjust to our community values? These questions are as important as the technical ones.
We have all achieved so much in the communities. The feeds are well managed and great articles and comments make it to either the Relevant feeds or the Hot feeds. I hardly ever have to manage the new sections against spammers etc. now because we are all doing it. Look at the crap that we see daily on other social media feeds. We are so much better, the signal is strong here and the noise is quiet.
