Hi [@Slava](/user/profile/Slava) and other admins, please explain or show me where I can read about it. How does reputation work? Let's say I have a reputation of 5. Someone liked my comment and the reputation became 5.5 An hour later my reputation drops to 4.8, less than it was. (all this happens in one section, of course) + I noticed that reputation decreases daily or even hourly. Is it impossible for an ordinary person to get a reputation above 10? How can I build a reputation if it is constantly and very quickly decreasing? How does this algorithm work? Thanks in advance for your reply.

It is basically the Page Rank algorithm but applied to Reputation. It will vary by community and will take some time to get above 20. That is you must make RELEVANT contributions CONSISTENTLY within a particular community in order to obtain a high REP. To get a 99 might take months of consistently relevant contributions. Thanks for your answer, Doctor. I noticed your answer next to a similar question. "The rankings are relative so if everyone else or many others go up, but you stay the same you will go down relatively speaking." Do you mean if there are 5 comments under a post (1 mine) and everyone has good comments that other users with a reputation like and their rating grows, but my comment is not touched (including not disliked) - my reputation will decrease?

No across the whole system. Basically do not worry about it. Only try to comment when it will be genuinely relevant and valuable and refrain from simplistic or irrelevant comments and your REP will tend to go up within a given community. Do not worry too much about the details unless you understand eigenvalues or network graphs and the like.
