Thanks for posting Incredibly insightful article about the housing crisis and its wide ranging impacts on health, productivity, families and the environment. It clearly suggests that there are benefits to reducing regulation and allowing more housing to be built in denser areas. You can even point towards Maslow's Hierarchy of needs and see how even the basics aren't being fulfilled now. It's no wonder we are seeing discontent and polarisation when people can't afford property/shelter. The big issue I see now is that property has becoming increasingly financialised and governments and financial markets are likely terrified of housing prices crashing and its effects on the economy.
