No it's not looks significant data. Although this looks rather less significant when you consider that the unemployment rate for people under 25 is currently 14.3%, compared to the over unemployment rate for people over the age of 50, which is 3.9%, or the national average which is 5.0%.
So despite the "biggest jobs fall since the 1980", people over the age of 50 are still less likely to be unemployed than any other demographic.
