I think we're more scared of not ever developing the technologies to find / reach other life forms more so than the fact that we're the. I think Titan is the "easiest" place to find immediate life of some kind, and Enceladus, Europa, Ceres, Pluto, Triton, Ganymede, Callisto, etc. are likely places as well. Of course, Mars is the easiest to get to and closest. The problem is that currently we don't have the means to make that transition to anywhere outside of maybe Mars and Venus due to travel time.
