Looks like sustainable farming practices and forestry is the low hanging fruit while the science and more importantly, the political will, ramps up on large scale restoration projects. The article notes that Western nations have done little so far on this issue. And while this will seem naive, this observation suggest to me that there is a huge opportunity for environmental activists to increase education campaigns to shift public opinion and policy in favour of restoration projects.

Whatt we must do: "The World Must Rewild and Restore an Area the Size of China to Meet Commitments on Nature and the Climate" What we'll do instead: More deforestation, more overfishing and more dumping of waste into nature.
