I just came back from Turkey and I can tell you I have never seen so many Bitcoin Ads in my life. They are everywhere and numbers of users are in the world top 10 relative to population. But the problem is that Turkey is notorious for its grey economy, its estimated around 20-30% GDP is undeclared money; add to that major levels of corruption (Erdogan himself is estimated to have $700billion hidden offshore) and you understand why the government doesn’t want people to use crypto. But this won’t matter in a country used to functioning in the grey.

So i probably buy more crypto now. Big mistake by Turkey, Turkish government is the dumbest of all. They already killed their currency and economy by making a number of stupid decisions over the last years. they are basically siding with the banksters, The same banksters who were upset that Turkey paid off some of their debt years ago, and wanted to pressure the country by weakening the Lira. It happened too. And now this. Bad idea Turkey, you had a huge opportunity to embrace crypto.
