>"El Salvador’s request for help has been declined by the World Bank, as it cited the “environmental and transparency” shortcomings of Bitcoin." "It cited issues with Bitcoin’s environmental impact and transparency as reasons why it will not support El Salvador move to adopt Bitcoin as an officially accepted currency ." Well the truth is that the IMF doesn't want to help something that goes directly against its own purpose of existence. The IMF is an institutional instrument to propagate US economic policy. It would be like asking Amazon to help business create their own, independent online selling platforms.

They went asking the wrong person. How they can think world BANK would help. Of course they won't help. They'll help when they think they can have more control. It's obviously not in World bank's favor to bring poor countries out of poverty. El Salvador is trying to get off the reservation. In effect telling the world financial system to go fuck itself. I predict an armed invasion in El Salvadors future.
