This short piece examines the legal implications of the acceptance of BTC as legal tender in El Salvador. Its a Swiss perspective but the logic behind it applies to most countries. In short: because El Salvador has made BTC a legal tender, it could be seen as a 'foreign currency' in any country that recognizes El Salvador as a State. This in turn can have major implications for the possible everyday usage of BTC.

This is just a way to work around those incoming sanctions and also to remain popular in social media.
