So in one sentence: the Americam Civil War led to the creation of the USA. Doesn't really say anything more than that. Coming from academia I can see the academic trying to make his field of study look interesting while not adding anything to the conversation. The topic is interesting though and a widely discussed one: what is the place of decentralized money in a centralized world.
