The beacon chain will coordinate the network and will introduce proof-of-stake to the Ethereum ecosystem. I believe it will be a major component to make the network more scalable, sustainable and secure. I have always appreciated ethereum and I think EIP-1559 and beacon chain will add a real boost in ethereum ecosystem.
