I think you are fundamentally misunderstanding what blockchain is and how it functions. For historical context: [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethereum_Classic](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethereum_Classic)

The narrative in the crypto media is that the Ethereum classic re-org was 'an accident'. This analysis shows that it was actually a well-orchestrated attack. I'm still a little confused why this isn't the main narrative... I guess the press outlets just copy-pasted an ETC press release?

Probably worried the price would dump or highlight how vulnerable ETC is to these kind of attacks? Hasn't it been attacked a few times in recent memory?

We at Bitquery collected data from the Ethereum Classic node based on Open Ethereum software. As it appeared after the fork, this software had a bug that prevented chain-reorg past a certain block number. As a result, we had all data preserved, including a series of blocks that were mined by other miners on Open Ethereum software after the reorg happened.

The only problem is if the system (where the wallet is) is hacked with a keylogger. But there is much more trouble to take care, because keys of internet banking will be stolen and other nice stuff. So this is a danger that should not be taken in account
